I think its a common understanding that the average Joe wants a boat. But its not feasible due to the fact that not everyone lives on a bayfront estate with a marina. But now there is a solution that enables any middle-of-the-state Texan to own a catamaran, and you guessed it, its relatively cheap, portable, high quality, and it looks pretty awesome. The MiniCat is essentially a catamaran in a bag that is easy to construct/deconstruct; one person can set it up in a matter of 30 minutes. So now you can grab your boat in a bag, head off to the local large body of water and sail away. The catamaran fits two people on it’s “trampoline” platform, which sits on twin inflatable floats. The MiniCat is light enough (75 lbs) to carry to a campsite and sturdy enough to withstand some serious winds and even an occasional collision with other MiniCats (bumper cars on the water anyone?). Despite your natural intuition that its a piece of junk plastic float, the MiniCat is actually designed to handle so well, even yachtsmen would approve. Three models are available: Standard, Super, and Sport ranging from £2450.00 – £2750 ($4,150 – $4,650).
