Hamann is at it again with yet another mind-blowing automotive machine. The Mercedes-Benz SLR is already one of the most impressive cars on the road, but after Hamann had their way with it, the stock version seems rather, well…wimpy. Dubbed the Hamann Volcano, it is fitted with an very modified exterior, increased performance, and a refined interior space. The Volcano’s exterior is equipped with carbon fiber front and rear wings, side skirts, a bonnet with integrated hood scoop and 21-inch rims. The 5.4-l V8 of the SLR was tweaked to pump out a ferocious 700 hp and 612 lb-ft of torque, which is a vast improvement over the stock 660hp, 575 lb-ft numbers. After immense popularity and success of the Tesla roadster, Tesla is radically changing their business structure, lineup, prices, and location. Tesla planning to relocate from its current headquarters in San Carlos, California, to a $250 million facility in San Jose, California. There, they will build an all new 4 dour sedan dubbed the Tesla S. Not only does the S look better, but it is significantly cheaper at only $60,000 (compared to the Roadster’s price tag of $109k). BMW is set to showcase its all new all Electric MINI at next month’s auto show in LA. The plan is to release 500 cars in 2009 for a one year trial. Last year, Shelby Super Car (SSC) has broken the world record for the fastest production car on the road by hitting astronomical 256.18mph with their Ultimate Aero.
