Finally the three wheeled beast known as the T-Rex has a competitor, and this time around it will look and perform even better. Higgins-Aubé Inc of Canada has created a three wheeled concept called the Energya which could be put into production in the next 18 months. 3 wheeled cars are known as motomobiles, and have distinct advantages over other automobiles. They are smaller, lighter, and are the cheapest way to achieve supercar performance. By supercar performance, I mean 0-60 in under 4 seconds, 200hp (which is lot considering it only weighs 772 lbs), lateral acceleration in excess of 1g, and dangerously high top speeds. Other specs have not yet been released due to early stages of development, but you can bet that the Energya will meet, if not surpass T-Rex figures. Now, on to the design. Ohhhh the design! The design of the Energya is superbly aggressive. Intimidatingly angry. This thing is ferocious and makes even a Lamborghini Reventon shrivel up in fear (ok maybe not, but you get the idea). Designed by owners Higgins and Aubé who have over 35 years of Industrial design experience, they have created a masterpiece of motomobile design. They are also working on an all electric version, shown in the gallery above (green trim). Higgins-Aubé Inc. is presently looking for serious investing partners so they can put this bad boy into production. Expect updates as more details present themselves. [Via Tuvie]
